Online Again

First and most importantly...Courtney brought her report card home today. I asked her what she got on it and she said, "Well...I got two C's" and I shot her the evil eye. I said, "What?!" She started laughing. She's starting to pick up on her mom and dad's sarcasm and it's funny when she dishes it back to us...sometimes. :) She got on the A/B honor roll and we're very proud of her! Way to go Court! She did get a note on her report card..."Courtney needs to control her talking during class." HA! My little social princess. We're workin' on that. I took her to see High School Musical 3 last night. Wow. 2 hours of non stop spontaneous breaking into song...musical fun. I wanted to jump off a bridge at the end of it. :) Court loved it and was singing the songs all the way home.

Can of diet rite + modem = fried modem. Jeff knocked over a can of mostly gone diet rite which dripped down to the bottom shelf of the end table and into the modem vent. He didn't notice it and I didn't notice it until I couldn't get online Friday night. I tried everything and then finally checked the new wireless router. Long story short I saw a trail of soda drops along the back of the end table leading to the top of the modem. I tried to save it...dried it off. But when I moved it, I guess the liquid spread even more. So no internet all weekend. Terrible isn't it?

I called Comcast Saturday and the lady said we'd have to pay for the modem. I asked her how much they cost and she said well...they are in the hundreds. HOLY COW!! REALLY? I asked the Comcast guy today and he said she didn't know what she was talking about and if it really cost that much she would have told us the specific amount. I don't know. We'll see what shows up on our bill. We got a new Modem installed today so internet and phones are back up.

Mrs. Oldham asked me to lead worship so I lead last Sunday. I guess she asked me a couple of weeks ago and ever since then it's been looming in the back of my mind. It made me nervous because I've never lead this group of people or at Roberts before. Some of the songs they sing that I have lead have a different arrangement than I'm used to, so I just wanted to make sure everything meshed and I didn't confuse anyone. I prayed pretty hard about it. I've had some train wrecks during worship and talk about feeling like a failure. Stuff like that reminds me of my dependence on God. I really wouldn't be able to lead if He didn't help me.
