Ok...this is a video I took with my phone of Jaden pitching a fit in the car. We were on the way home from church and he did not want to be in the car seat. I'm not one of those moms that gets upset or nervous when a baby cries. I can tell the difference between a temper tantrum and a legit cry for help. :) This is straight up...Jaden pitching a fit.
I don't know what others would say about responding to babies pitching fits but when Jaden pitches a fit, I don't respond to him until he's done and calmed down. He's gone a good 20 minutes doing this high pitch screaming. I wait it out and then when he's done I'll pick him up. I'm afraid if I pick him up when he starts one of these...then he'll think he can do that all the time to get me to respond.
In this video...I'm cracking up. He doesn't know I'm laughing about his fit of course...but I imagine when he gets older and he understands more, laughing at him won't be a good thing. It would only provoke more than it would help.
