NB, as in new born. Jaden is about out of all his NB outfits and diapers. *Sniff* Today, we had a tragic diaper blow out. We lost a Onesie and a large amount of wipes. I just threw the Onesie away. There was no saving it. He messed all up his back and down his arm and a small amount under his nose. Not sure how it got under his nose. It was one of those diaper changes that ends with a bath. Jeff was taking a shower...so I cleaned him up enough to stick him in the shower with Jeff. Jaden loves showers by the way. He has never cried in the shower. Baths always end in screaming episodes. Ha!
Jaden has the ability to wet himself while I'm changing his diaper and me not even know it until I pick him up and notice his entire back is wet. How does he do that? I've been peed on a few times. It's a race to take one diaper off...use wipes if needed and then to put a clean diaper on. Most of the time...no problem and then out of the blue I'll turn my head to grab a diaper and then I'll feel a warm stream hit me.
I've been denying the fact that we need to move up in diaper size...trying to squeeze his little butt in the last few NB diapers. So we're moving on to size 1. Sigh. Part of me wants him to stay little and the other part wants him to grow to be big enough to play catch. :)
He's 6 weeks old this week and that means I have to go back to work Monday. I've had a few emotional moments, a few good cries about it this week. I'm sure the hormones aren't helping. I HATE it. I keep wondering what I'm going to miss while I'm at work. He's changed so much in just 6 weeks. He's had so many moments that I've been so happy to capture. His first smile...that was on purpose. He's beginning to baby talk and coo. He's more alert and awake. He knows my voice and he recognizes me. I've probably spent more time being sad that I have to leave him Monday than enjoying the time I had left with him. I know women do this all the time and now a days...it's not a big deal...but it feels like a big deal to me. I'm sure it will all be ok. Just venting.
