Southern Style Winter

Winter in the south is interesting to say the least. My friend that lives in Miami has had to actually run around town trying to find coats for her kids. The 30 degree weather is not normal for them or the oranges. Down there in sunny Florida...they don't need winter clothes, so it's put them in a chilly bind.

I took this pic this morning. The dusting on the roads was slight. It doesn't take much to excite us. Schools out...for this. HA!

I've experienced northern winters and piercing sub-zero lake effect winds. Not my cup-o-tea. We used to go up to Wisconsin and Illinois to visit my Uncle David and Aunt Becky when I was a kid. Snow everywhere and piled higher than buildings from where they would clear out the parking lots of stores. Nice to visit but wouldn't want to live there. If I could, I'd live in a tropical climate near a beach and maybe go north every once in a while to see some white stuff if I actually got to missing it.
