As far as traveling goes...August looks nice and relaxed. Yey!
As far as work and school go...it's on again. Work has been slow through the summer. Last month they even laid several people off. But a couple of weeks ago, we got an onslaught of business. I've been working on a design project for work all week. Kinda not feeling very creative with it...but tonight...finally some creative juice started to flow. The last couple of weeks...it's seemed harder for me to stay awake....so staying up to work on projects late has been harder.
Courtney will get back from NYC tomorrow. She's been so excited to tell me all the stuff she's seen. She went shopping. She went to see the Adam's Family on Broadway. She went to Ellis Island and to see the Statue of Liberty. She stayed very close to Time Square, where we stayed not to long ago. She's gotten to do a lot of stuff. She did tell me she forgot to take pictures. I was sad about that because I know in the future, she'll want to remember all the stuff she did. She's got good memories.
School starts back this week for Courtney and Jeff. Courtney has got to get some vaccinations before she can start 7th grade and of course...trying to get into the pediatrician right now has been crazy. She goes this Thursday morning.
I love Snoopy but she sheds like no other. White hair everywhere and our deep red furniture just attracts dog hair. Keeping it clean is a chore and doesn't always get done when we're running. I had the furniture looking dirty...covered in dog hair. This past Saturday, I took all the cushions and pillows off the couch, shook them out, and put them in the washer. I know...I probably shouldn't do that...but with Snoopy making her bed up on top of the couch pillows and jumping up there after just being outside...the furniture was just needing a wash. So I pulled all the cushions and stuffing out of the pillows and popped the seat covers and pillows into the washer. Then I put them on low in the dryer with some dryer sheets. It worked like a charm and the couch and love seat smell awesome. :) Nothing faded. Yey! I put sheets over them for now to keep the doggy hair off. We've got Cody's mom and dad coming down to move Cody in the end of this week...and I'd really like the couch to be dog hair free if possible. :)
Jeff preached at Bellshire this morning. He did a great job. I'm a little biased, but I'm really proud of the fact he study's hard and really prays about what he's going to bring to the congregation. It's never fluff, but always something to challenge you and to chew on.
