We don't have a lot of free weekends from now until after camp. It starts. :) Can't believe how fast time is flying. We've got a lot to work on for camps and for 1NiGHT...the youth lock-in.
Our flights are booked for Vegas. That kinda made it a final thing. Found out that the trip to the Grand Canyon is only 2 1/2 hours because of a new bridge that was put in. On the map, you had to drive north, almost to Utah and then back down to the Canyon. That's a longer drive...4 1/2 to 5 hours. This apparently allows for a straight shot straight through an Indian reservation.
Friday night we went to dinner and a movie. Saw Paul Blart Mall Cop. Pretty stinkin' funny. Saturday, Jeff got up and headed up to Roberts to get away and work on his sermon. He likes to run through it several times before actually preaching. He was preaching on Sunday. Court and I headed up to Westmoreland later on for the POWERhouse Youth and Children's conference at Lakeside Church.
Sunday morning Jeff was ready to preach and I lead worship. Let me say I love the team that Mrs. Oldham has goin' on. Several people on the worship team take turns leading worship. Mrs. Oldham is the main worship leader and she facilitates the team and who is leading if she is not. If I could choose to lead full time or with a team...it would definitely be the team method. Jeff did a wonderful job with the message. It was a tough message but he presented it well.
Sunday night we headed back up to Westmoreland for a district revival at Lakeside. We're spending a lot of time up there. HA!
