I can't believe next week I'll be 6 months! I remember with Court, I was starting to show, but even wearing t-shirts no one could tell unless I pulled the shirt tight. I'm tracking with the past trend for the most part...showing a bit more than I did with Courtney. One of the girls in the office actually noticed today. She said I see the little bump!
What's goin' on?
- Baby boy is very active. He kicks all the time. Jeff did get to feel him for the first time this week. Jeff thought that was so cool:) Baby boy likes to wake up when I'm laying down to go to sleep. He kicked the ultra sound tech and my Dr. when she was using the doppler to hear the heart beat.
- He was startled the other day. A very loud abrupt noise and he jumped so hard it startled me. It was funny though.
- He doesn't like loud music. Between Decemberadio and the Toby Mac/Skillet concert I have to assume that he is not in favor of loud bass driven music. He balls up so tight it hurts.
- Jeff being the reader he is, is excited about all the books he can buy the baby. He's bought several and even read one to him already. :) Green Eggs and Ham of course.
- Had my latest prenatal visit yesterday. Everything was on track. The past ultra sound was good. Everything is normal.
- I have a tub full of new born infant clothes thanks to some friends who passed down their boy clothes to us. They are like new.
- He has a part of my closet already. Little baby clothes on little baby hangers.
Courtney has been drawing pictures of the baby's name. More than one. I'm not posting the name on Facebook, but I will on here since I don't have many readers. We have decided to name him Jaden Thomas Jones. Jaden means Jehovah hears and seeker of truth. Thomas is Jeff's grandfather's last name. Jeff takes a lot after his Grandpa Thomas. Even the way he stands with his feet pointed out. :) His grandpa was a minister and Jeff has a lot of his sermon notes. I think this little boy is gonna take a lot after his daddy and his great grandpa. I see great things ahead for him.
On a frustrating note, thanks to the Karate Kid...Jaden is one of the most popular names now. When I found Jaden, it was on a bible baby name website. It was on NO top baby name lists. I thought I found a unique name. Kinda like when I loved the name Jackson and then it's been on the top baby name's lists for years now. If it was a girl...I always wanted the name Gracie. And of course I know a ton of babies named Gracie now. The other day I'm driving to work and listening to the radio. They announce the top names for 2010 and sure enough, Jaden was number 5 I believe. I was like...WHAT!!!??? I went and looked it up on the baby name lists and it had moved up on them as well. SIGH! We've decided we aren't going to change his name just because it's become popular. I didn't even think about that being Will Smith's son's name. Honestly, I don't know any white baby's named that anyway. HA! I love the meaning. I think about the last 5 1/2 years praying for this baby to come along...and even though I didn't understand everything and the timing...Jehovah heard my prayer.
