Baby boy has reached my belly button. I can feel him kicking it. He's got great aim. So the growing spurt has begun. Jeff was putting up some clothes and I came up behind him and gave him a hug. He said, "I can feel the baby!" He was talking about the baby bump...but that was cool. :) He's felt the baby move but not kick yet. There are times the baby feels like he's up in a ball in one spot of my belly...and if you put your hand on him, he will move to the other side. One night before bed, I chased him all over the place. As soon as I put my hand where he was...he'd move to another spot. So that's what Jeff was feeling. He still hasn't felt him kick yet. I can't wait until he can feel that.
I worked Ladies Regional Retreat this past weekend up at Lake Barkley in Kentucky. They asked June Gordon to lead worship and me to help her and also lead a TAP group. It's a prayer group for the ladies. Whenever I would go up to sing during worship, the baby would be all over the place. I don't know if he was dancing in there or trying to run away from the loud music. Ha! I would be grinning from ear to ear while I was singing. I love feeling the baby move.
What's going on this week:
- Sleeping on my back. Sadness. If I do...I wake up with various body parts completely asleep and numb. I guess because the baby is laying on my major nerves. HA!
- Definite baby bump growing. Still not noticeable with the clothing I wear but it's about time to get some maternity pants. Right now it just looks like I'm getting fat in my belly...not really with a baby...just in general.
- My face has cleared up a lot. It's not completely clear but definitely not as bad as the first trimester. I don't look like a teenage pizza face.
- I'm sleeping a lot better but now that the baby is getting bigger I have to go to the bathroom more frequently during the night. At least I'm not waking up with every tiny sound and movement.
- I'm craving sweets. Cookies, candy, donuts. Oh boy. Help me Jesus not to gain 100lbs.
- Some swelling in my feet and hands. Haven't had that in quite awhile. When my feet swell I tell Jeff...look out...I have Shrek feet.
- Weight gain, good. Good as in...not a lot. It's all in the belly.
