Jeff told me about this message that Francis Chan gave this week at his church. I'm a fan of Podcasts and I regularly listen to several different speakers. I really am fed by Chan's messages. I enjoyed both of his books...audio books...Crazy Love and Forgotten God.
His message this week was on why God may not listen to our prayers. Really made me think. Mainly because we've gone to two different extremes in Christianity. We were so legalistic...no grace...no mercy... and now we shower with Grace and paint God as all love and mercy and no consequence. And He is loving and merciful but He also holds us to a higher standard and He has empowered us through the Holy Spirit to live and strive for that high standard. I really enjoyed this message. And as always...don't just accept it because he's a good speaker. Read and study and pray about it for yourself.
