No Viking in My Blood

I will say once again...boo on cold and snowy weather. Bring on the summer heat!

I didn't go out into the snow and play...at all. I would like to say my main excuse is that I had the crud all weekend and still have the crud. My cough is not as bad as yesterday, so hopefully I'll be over this quickly. Jeff went and had a snow ball fight with Courtney. They also jumped on the trampoline that was covered in snow and brought a lot of that back in the house with them. Our kitchen floor was one big puddle. The bright side...the floor got mopped. :)

Friday I felt the worst. Didn't go to work, which ended up being fine because it started snowing and everyone went home early anyway. Despite feeling like crap...I made myself work out Saturday. Ended up loosing 2.5 pounds over the long weekend. I'm now down in a new set of numbers and just for kicks...I tried on some jeans I haven't been able to wear in a few years. They buttoned and zipped no problem. I was pretty excited about that. Jeff had to go buy new pants last week. He bought size 36 jeans and those are loose on him. His belt has also gotten too big for him. He's lookin' good. :)

Courtney is dying to go back to school. She gets mad every time they call it off again. I think she's like all of us. We all want a break from the routine, but when it comes down to it...we all rely on those routines and need them to feel a bit normal. It's cool to have the weekend off and a snow day here and there...but Jeff and Court are goin' crazy without their routine. They are so ready to get back to school. I felt the same way on Monday. My street...which I live on a hill...was a sheet of ice. I even got stuck at the entrance of our neighborhood...but I was not going to go back home to sit in that house one more day! HA! So I had to kinda back up...and pull forward...a lot... until I could find some traction. There were people in the ditch and one person stuck in the middle of the road. I eventually got myself free and was on my way to the office...ice or no ice.
