Jeff and I went to see Twilight this past weekend. I actually watched a poor quality online version so had already seen it before that. I know...bad. There's nothing like watching a movie on a clear digital big screen.
My opinion on the movie? Well...here are a few things that kinda irked me even though I enjoyed the movie.
1. I thought it was funny how in the movie, Edward kept chasing down Bella or coming up to her saying..."Bella...we shouldn't be friends." or "Bella...you'd be better off staying away from me." Is it just me or was Edward not the one approaching HER every time he said that? HA!
2. The awesome thing about the book is how the romance develops. And I realize in a movie...you have a limited time to convey the point of the book. But...I felt like they didn't spend enough time allowing the character's romance to develop in a realistic way. It's like they went from Edward attempting to avoid Bella to...they're in love now?
3. One of my favorite characters besides the two obvious is Alice. I would have really liked to have seen more of her character developed in the movie. Mainly because of her and Edward's relationship in Midnight Sun and knowing how Alice felt about Bella before Bella even knew her.
Things I did like...I like their pick of cast. Jasper kinda made me laugh. He looks like Edward Scissor hands. But, it's cool to put those faces with the characters in the books when reading them...again. :) I'm interested on how Jacob will develop in New Moon. He's just a kid in this movie. He's gonna have to grow a foot and put on some serious muscle. Wonder how they will pull that off?
Anyway...I finished Twilight again last night. It's amazing how much I had forgotten. So I'll start New Moon maybe this weekend. Jeff just laughs at me and rolls his eyes.
