It's definitely Christmas time. We've already been to several Christmas banquets/get togethers. Hey...I'm not complaining. I'm thankful for the social aspect of it. Our first banquet was couple of Sundays ago at the Thomas House in Kentucky for Roberts. It was very nice. There was enough food to feed the continent of Africa. After church on Sunday we ate at Bro. and Sis. Donafield's (sp?) house with the pastor's family. She fixed some amazing food! We had the Roberts worship team get together this past Sunday night. We ate at Dumplins in Scottsville, KY and went back to the Pastor's house for dirty Santa and dessert. Jeff and I though dirty Santa meant more of a gag gift. He bought a starter log and I bought nose hair trimmers. One of the ladies picked the starter log and when she unwrapped it, wasn't quite sure what to say about it. She asked if it was marshmallow or a cookie. I can't remember...I was laughing so hard my head hurt. Come to find out...Jeff and I were the only ones who bought gifts like ours. HA! The pastor's son, Jonathan, ended up with the nose hair trimmers and Jeff caught him trying them out. Jeff said Jonathan's face was so funny when he stuck it up his nose and turned it on. Apparently it's not pleasant. :) And last night we had another banquet in Smyrna with other state staff at Legends Steakhouse. We've been all over the place and not so successful at Weight Watchers. :)
Roberts had their children's program on Sunday. My parents, Angie and Walt, and Jacque all came up to watch. I have it on video but I'm trying to format it so I can pull it into iMovie and edit it. I'll post it once I get it done. Courtney did great and she's practicing so hard to be a good singer. :) Hopefully they will have their school concert soon. I'll video that as well and stick it up here.
