Well...I have the crud this week. Started out with fever then moved to head congestion and hacking. It wouldn't be fall without another bout of the chunky lung. It's not that bad of a case so I'm thankful for that. Just don't have a lot of energy and there is plenty to be doing. I've actually gone to bed early this week. That's definitely out of the norm.
I've started teaching Court how to do laundry. So far, she enjoys it. That's always a plus when you introduce a new chore. She knows how to separate colors. She's learning how to measure detergent and where to put the dial on the washing machine. I supervise to make sure settings are right and amounts are right...yada yada. Tonight...we practice how to fold towels. :) There's like a pile of them on the kitchen table waiting for us.
Then there's Courtney's homework. SIGH! I wasn't good at math when I was going to school so trying to help her now...fun fun times. It was the great fraction debate of 2008 last night. I actually did remember how to do fractions but I'll have to admit I'm not very good at explaining it...or very patient. Yeah...that virtue is greatly needed. Courtney said, "Well I guess that's why you never home schooled me."
So tonight is pretty scheduled out. Fix dinner, eat, go grocery shopping and then come home and clean clean clean. We've got company coming this weekend. Fall is pretty busy and the weekend calendar fills up fast. This weekend is our Jones Family reunion. All of Jeff's Alabama family will travel up here to Aunt Janice and Uncle Roy's house and we watch the UT vs. Bama game. It's split down the middle on team loyalty. I of course side with the Alabama side of the family. :) We eat lots of food, throw waste lines to the wind and hurl insulting comments about each others' team. It's great. :)
