It was a busy one. Wednesday I got out of the office early. I was very "THANKFUL". :) We were slammed and I could've stayed till after 6 but I piled everything to the side and left.
Thursday Jeff and I slept in for a little bit...till 8. Then we both got up and hit the treadmill before going over to cram food in our faces. :) We had about 15 people for lunch at Angie and Walt's house. I didn't eat the wagon. WOOHOO!! I had one plate for lunch and one plate for dinner. Had a walk around the block after eating with some of the family.
Friday we slept in and Jeff did some Christmas shopping. I HATE shopping but he was determined to catch some deals. I wanted one day where I didn't have to worry about being anywhere. It's been a while since I had one of those days. So I stayed home. I did watch the Alabama vs. Auburn game. Got a double work out because of that. Worked out when I got up and then again when Alabama allowed the score to run up on them in the first half. I took my frustration out on the treadmill and Jeff was a smart boy and went to help his mom with the Christmas tree. I guess I wasn't so pleasant to be around. :)
Friday night we went to the Predators hockey game. It was the first night for them to wear their new jerseys. It was black and blue night. The jerseys were pretty nice. If I were an avid Preds fan I might want one but I can't justify paying $135 for one of those suckers when I only attend a couple of times a year. Jeff was really wanting one but couldn't justify it either. After the game we picked up Court and headed to Cleveland to spend time with my family on Saturday.
Saturday we got up and met my brother's new girl friend. She's really nice. Got to hang with my nephew Jacob. He's a cutie and getting so big. He's a pretty smart cookie and well behaved. After dad fixed some late breakfast I dropped Court off with her Grandma Jan to get some pics taken and then headed to play some football with the cousins and my brother. It was the saddest game of football ever. I was actually in shape to be runnin' around but my cousin Mike has a bad back and my cousin Tyler injured his ACL during a Rugby game a couple of weeks ago so it was more like geriatric football. We all ate dinner together and then we headed back up to Hendersonville after eating. We ate at Gondolier...my favorite restaurant of all time. Love Greek food.
Sunday was slow paced. We took a family day from Roberts and slept in. We were supposed to go to the football game earlier but the game was rescheduled to start at 3pm. So we decided to go to Bellshire Sunday and be with family. It was nice seeing everyone. The new pastor, Todd, preached a great message. We ate lunch with everyone and headed on to the stadium.
The Titans game was pretty awesome. We were only a few rows up from the field and got to see the action up close. The end was a nail biter. I felt like I was watching Alabama play down to the wire all over again. When we were leaving people were going crazy coming down the exit ramps and out in the walk ways. They were going crazy in the parking garage where we left the car. It was that good of a win.
Here's a slide show from the weekend.
