Jaden does not lack at all for personality. He's very social. He's not so keen on other people holding him right now, but he will definitely interact with them as long as one of us is holding him. Jeff and I were at district convention at Pine Grove in Crossville. I had taken Jaden out into the side hall of the church. I could still see into the sanctuary, but the crowd cannot see me or him. He was talking loudly so I didn't want to disturb service. Bro. McKinley was introducing the state staff and when it came time for him to introduce Jeff and me, he introduced Jaden and asked that I step up to let everyone see him. When I stood up and walked Jaden over to the door way...Jaden grinned really big....stuck his arm out, hand extended and in slow motion moved it from one side of the crowd to the other. It looked like he was blessing the congregation in a slow motion wave. Of course I was laughing and the people laughed and that just made him ham it up even more. I love that he's social. Jeff has also noticed he is not intimidated by anybody. He will stare you in the eye until someone wins...and normally it's him.
Jaden loves song service. He looks around and mimics what he sees. So during church he will clap, raise his hand, and dance when the music plays. He doesn't care if its contemporary or southern gospel. He likes it all.
Jaden's love for Cheerios can be inconvenient at times. This past Sunday at a district revival in Memphis, he threw half a zip lock baggy full of Cheerios all over the front pew and the front of the sanctuary. Jeff and I were on stage and Courtney had Jaden when it all unfolded. All I could think about was the people coming up for alter call and crunching all those Cheerios into the carpet. They were everywhere. Luckily, there was a prayer before the sermon. Me, Jeff, and Courtney scrambled around the front to clean up the Cheerio bomb. It was as though it never happened. :)
9 Month check up stats were:
20lbs 15oz
29" long
75% for both stats
Jaden lost some weight from being sick with roseola. He had a high fever for three or four days and at the end of it began a rash. He's still got the rash. It's on his face, stomach, back, and legs. I'm waiting for that to go away. It's left his skin with dry patches all over it.
And finally...I caught Jaden on video clapping. I had been working with him and helping him clap, but this was the first time he did it on his own. I'm so glad I can be home to catch these moments! I have a Youtube channel with a lot of Jaden's videos that I don't put on here. http://www.youtube.com/user/Jonesin30?feature=guide
