30 Weeks | New Used Car

I am 30 weeks as of Tuesday. I can't believe there are only 10 weeks left. We'd better get movin' on the painting and remodeling of our bathroom and bedroom. Still haven't started. As far as me, nothing has really changed other than the size of my belly. Getting up and down is more painful...mainly because all my joints in my pelvic area are so stinkin' loose and more sore. I have noticed some definite braxton hicks contractions...nothing out of the ordinary. Gotta watch my diet from here on out. Not that it was bad or that I was eating a lot....turns out sugar and carbs are not my friend until he's born.  Unfortunately, that's what I crave with baby boy. I'm doing good...just modified my meals and have to plan ahead.

District conventions across the state have been going on the last three weeks. We are trying to go to all of them to promote camp. The first one was in Jackson, TN and was snowed out. The make up was tonight. I didn't go...Jeff did. I've been to the other two. We've been working on camp promo materials, YHT materials, 1NiGHT lock-in, 25th Anniversary CHH day, and getting camp applications out there. We've got a director's meeting coming up this Saturday. Camp will be here before you know it.

We've been car shopping and finally decided on a 2008 dark gray Ford Escape. Cody bought my Ford Focus. The Escape has room!  :) We went to Carmax and loved dealing with them. It's a lot different then dealing with a haggling car salesmen. We finalized everything this morning and I'm driving it today. I love it. I'll take some pics and post later. We were thinking that the insurance would go up with it being an SUV. It actually went down. Apparently the Ford Focus is considered a death trap...according to the insurance guy. HA! Wish we would've known that before. So insurance went down and our payments are lower than what the Focus was. We got a great price, space, bells and whistles and great gas mileage.
