Courtney did well on her mid term progress report. She had all A's and B's except for science, she had a C. She's enjoying middle school...somedays...and then other days...well. Ha! I can't tell these days. Some days she loves it....and then other days she hates it. I guess I felt the same way about school at her age. :) She's involved with chorus. She likes that a lot and last year she joined the drama club. She hasn't mentioned that this year. We'll see how that goes.
She's a reading machine. She loves it. Sad to say, she's read way more books than me this year, which isn't hard. I'm not big on reading. :) She's very time conscious. She definitely did not get that from me. I'm pretty sure Jeff's tendency rubbed off on her. I'm glad. I would probably be late to everything if it weren't for those two...and sometimes even they can't keep me on time.
We switched her over to mine and Jeff's dentist recently. She's got a pretty big sweet tooth and it definitely showed when she went. The dentist told her to lay off the sweets and that she would have to start brushing her teeth at school after lunch and chewing sugar free gum after meals. I won't have to remind her to chew gum. She loves it. She had fun last Wednesday getting some fillings. They also advised us she would need to see an orthodontist for braces. She is very excited about this. I'm not sure why...I guess since a lot of her friends have them she thinks they are cool. I keep telling her, they aren't so cool when you get them tightened and you can't eat for three days because your teeth hurt. She just rolls her eyes at me. I remember thinking most adults didn't know what in the world they were talking about when I was her age. I can tell she thinks that a lot. HA!
