There are a group of us that work church camp together that decided to take a trip to Knoxville and meet up this weekend. My friend Kristen and I drove to meet the other girls. We stayed at the Hilton downtown Knoxville and Mel was able to get a great deal on the executive suite floor. So we had free breakfasts and at night they served finger foods and soft drinks for free. Friday night we had reservations at the Copper Cellar. It was a restaurant that me, Mel and our friend Nikki went to before I got married and we remembered they had great food and it was a cool atmosphere. Saturday was a shopping day in Pigeon Forge at the outlet malls. We went and ate Lunch at the Apple Barn and then I basically followed them around while they shopped at the outlets. They all love to shop and if you know me...I do not. I did buy 3 cans of Bath & Body air freshener. :) They were really cheap at the outlet mall. Saturday night we watched Alabama vs. Georgia. ROLL TIDE! Sunday we ate a final lunch together and headed home. We'll probably make this an annual event and plan different places to go.

Girl's Weekend Out - October 2008
